Realer is built around the idea that your conversations belong to you and the people you're talking to — nobody else. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we don't.

Who we are

Realer ("we," "us," "our") operates the website at realer.vip and the Realer mobile application (together, the "Service"). If you have questions about this policy, email info@realer.vip.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist

If you submit your email through our waitlist form, we collect:

• Your email address
• A referral link / referral source if you arrived via someone else's link
• Basic technical data (timestamp, approximate location derived from IP, browser type)

Waitlist signups are processed by Getwaitlist.com, our waitlist provider. Their handling of your email is governed by their own privacy policy.

When you use the Realer app (post-launch)

• Account info: phone number or email, display name, profile photo if you choose to upload one.
• Contacts: if you grant access, we use your contacts only to help you find friends already on Realer. Contact data is never sold.
• Video clips and messages: stored encrypted, auto-deleted after 24 hours. We do not scan, train on, or share the contents of your clips.
• Device & usage data: device model, OS version, crash logs, basic app analytics so we can fix bugs and improve the product.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
• We don't run ads inside the app.
• We don't train AI models on your messages or videos.
• We don't use third-party trackers for advertising or behavioral profiling.

How we use your information

• To run the waitlist and notify you about launch.
• To operate the Service (deliver messages, manage your account).
• To keep things working — debug crashes, prevent abuse, secure accounts.
• To send important account or service notices. We won't spam you.

Sharing

We share data only with vendors strictly necessary to run the Service:

• Getwaitlist — waitlist management
• Cloud hosting & storage providers — to deliver the app
• Analytics & crash reporting — anonymized where possible

We may disclose information if required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect against fraud, abuse, or threats to safety. If we ever receive a government request, we'll push back where we can and notify you where legally permitted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Opt out of marketing emails (every email we send has an unsubscribe link)
• Port your data to another service

To exercise any of these, email info@realer.vip from the address tied to your account.

Data retention

Video clips and messages are auto-deleted from our servers within 24 hours of being sent. Account info is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain it.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify affected users promptly in the event of a breach affecting their data.

Children

Realer is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

Realer is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you consent to your data being processed in the US, which may have different data protection rules than your home country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Realer evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or via a notice in the app before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
